Welcome to my NEX 3-in-1 Bag Mate review.
All backpacks are not created equal, and I have yet to see one that has everything I want/need.
Sure they have a nice little pocket for your cellphone and keys, but it can still be very much improved upon.
You can sit and wait for that to happen, or you can check out the new NEX 3-in-1 Bag Mate.
Not completely a bag and really just an accessory, this new Kickstarter product can do one other thing that really got my attention.
Besides being a nice little attachment to your currency EDC.
This thing can turn into a cross-body kind of bag.
That’s my favorite part about this thing, but of course, there is more to it than just that.
So rather than regurgitating the same info you already got on the site, I want to give you a short review of what the NEX can actually do.
I wasn’t a fan at first, but after further research and really understanding the product, things have changed.
The NEX might just be for you if you are in the market for a nice little add-on to your current carry.

Introducing…The NEX Bag Mate
The price kind of threw me off when I first found out about the NEX Bag Mate.
For $19, I assumed this was going to be some cheap product that was put together just for someone to make money.
Then I realized that it was a “bag mate,” and my mind completely changed.
Before you go buying the NEX Bag Mate, you need to know that this is not a backpack.
It is not a messenger bag either but it sure can act as one.
More of a sling, the NEX Bag Mate is one cool add-on to any backpack or bag, for that matter.
Designed to carry your most used valuables, I absolutely like what it can do.
I didn’t plan on saying much, but with all the GIFs used in their promotions, I couldn’t help myself.
So let’s go over what this Bag Mate can actually do.
Gone are the days of the main compartment, a small front compartment, and a mid-sized compartment that stores most of your valuables.
In are the days of lots of pockets and really functional backpacks.
In the case of the NEX Bag Mate, it comes in the form of a cross-body bag.
The NEX is nothing more than a velcro-type sleeve that attaches to the straps of your bag.
It can hold your cell phone, your passport, and even a power bank.
Obviously, this is designed more for travelers, but it will definitely work great for anyone.
Quality & Comfort
The NEX can be your nice little add-on, but there’s more to it than just that.
It is supposed to be super comfortable and help with your posture.
Now that’s where I question this little thing.
But being attached to your backpack, I can see how it will pull your bag forward and your body up.
I have not tried it though, so I’m not going to make any comments just yet.
It does come with some air
Looks & Style
There is one thing that will make or break my buying decisions, and it is the actual look of something.
That’s why I got the DSPTCH Daypack and about 99% of the stuff I own.
There’s nothing wrong with functional and great looking, right?
Well, the NEX is actually not that bad.
I am not a huge fan of bright colors,, but I can settle for black or red.
What does make this product unique is that it does not come with any type of brand whatsoever.
It does come with a nice little spot to place some patches.
I am personally a fan of brands, and I think all companies should be proud of what they create.
Now, if having Starbucks or apple is something you are more interested in, the NEX allows you to do that.
Overall, the looks are there, so I can’t complain.
Price & Where to Buy
These days it is hard to buy anything for less than $20.
At least when it comes to accessories and cool gear.
With the NEX Bag Mate, you can accomplish exactly that.
For just $19, you can not only grab yourself one but can also support the team behind this product so they can start production.
Right now that is the early bird price as this product is still on Kickstarter, but that will all go up as soon as the gates close.
Order yours today and get it in about a month’s time.
Final Verdict: Worth the Buy
Overall I really liked this product is not that bad at all.
We all know it will work great for traveling, but I personally think it is best as a cross-body type of bag.
I give the NEX two thumbs up, and I’m adding it to my list of awesomeness.
Thanks for reading my NEX Bag Mate review hopefully I have highlighted some of the stuff that will help you make a better buying decision.
