Like most of you, buying the Ridge Wallet wasn’t easy, as spending a good chunk of change on a hard wallet is not typical.

The Ridge wallet is a top-of-the-line hard wallet specifically designed for minimalists.

The Ridge Wallet measures 86x54x6 mm and weighs just 2 ounces, much lighter than its competition.

It comes in at least ten colors and requires no instructions, even if it comes with them.

How The Ridge Wallet Works

The Ridge Wallet idea is nothing more than some metal plates, some screws, and an elastic strap.

The screws hold two plates together, which are placed on each side of the wallet.

The elastic strap wraps around the now two plates, giving it that stretch to allow your cards to be squeezed together.

One part of the elastic band sits on one side of the Ridge Wallet, which serves as a spot to hold cash.

I know it sounds stupidly simple, but that’s all there is to it.

And, no, I’m not saying that’s a bad thing because I appreciate the idea, quality, and time it took to create what the Ridge Wallet is today.

Is the Ridge Wallet Durable?

If you’re going to spend good money on anything, it better be built to last, especially when it comes to something with two plates, some screws, and an elastic band.

When it comes to durability, the Ridge Wallet is exactly that.

Some customers have complained about the Ridge Wallet being easily scratched, but mine hasn’t seen one yet.

It’s also probably because I treat my Ridge like a $1k leather wallet instead of some brick you throw around.

Complaints About The Ridge Wallet

Some will complain about Ridge Wallet’s price, which is completely normal.

If you’re old school, you probably grab a $10 wallet from Macy’s and call it a day, which is also good.

Another complaint about the Ridge Wallet is that it scratches easily.

For me, the biggest problem I had was picking a color.

I was torn between black, gunmetal, and matte green.

I eventually went with the matte green, as it goes with most of the stuff I already have.

At least not bulky, like a traditional wallet.
