10 Ways to Be a More Confident Man and Win at Life

By John Cruz

If you want to be a more confident man, you need to start today.

You need to take a long look in the mirror and decide that you want to be the best version of yourself.

Not to see if that nasty pimple popped or how good-looking you aren’t, but to really see who you are and what you want to become.

Confidence is a must in our modern world; without it, you can encounter things that no one should ever have to deal with.

You can become depressed and less productive.

This can and most likely will have a snowball effect, and we don’t want that happening.

So before any of that happens, or even if it has already happened, let’s see what we can do to help you be more confident and live your best life.

How to Be a More Confident Man

If you lack confidence, that’s okay.

We are all different.

We were all raised differently, we look at things differently, and we all look different.

However, when you become an adult, this is the time when you can do things on your own.

You can make decisions on your own and do so in a way that works for you.

Forget about high school and your peers that decide who and what everyone else does.

That’s a thing of the past, and those guys have nothing to do with who you are today.

Most aren’t doing anything worthwhile anyway, and some are probably struggling with life.

These days are different, and I want to show you how to be a confident man who gets what he wants.

1. Forget About What Anyone Thinks of You

Easier said than done.

I know.

It’s not something you can just turn off, and that’s okay.

What you can do is try.

Remember that you are responsible for your happiness and the direction of your life.

You are responsible for what you do and how you do it.

What they think of you is none of your business.

If you can’t help but consider what others think, at least don’t let them influence you.

2. Clean Yourself

Every confident man you’ll meet is usually well-kept.

Their hygiene is up there, and cleanliness is part of who they are.

They get haircuts regularly, and if they don’t shave their face, their facial hair is lined up and groomed.

Men’s hygiene is necessary, and you at least have to keep up with the basics.

I’m not saying you need to be scared to get dirty, but start your day fresh and ensure others can say, “Wow, he’s such a clean dude.”

Being a clean dude builds confidence, so ensure you keep up with your hygiene.

Always.

3. Work Harder

Not every man is a hard worker, and things only seem to worsen.

A study from Gee Hair found that 60% of men lack confidence in doing their job.

I mean, how?

Most jobs require redundant tasks and don’t require much thinking.

Shrugs shoulders.

On the other side of the coin, some men are flat-out lazy.

Oh, and sloppy.

If you can’t keep up with the basic things around you, what more when it comes time to be confident?

There’s a type of satisfaction that comes with working hard.

When you put in the work to get things, it makes you happy, and it helps you to be confident.

The harder-working people in the room are usually confident; sometimes, it’s even the women.

To be a confident man, you need to be that person.

4. Dress Better

Every man has the opportunity to dress however they want to.

However, sometimes your style is not really who you are.

It’s what you are used to, and it’s something you can change.

Nothing dramatic, but it can clean you up a bit.

In my younger years, I got new things every week.

These days, as a parent, I have shirts that are as old as my kids.

However, I keep them clean, and I am at least presentable.

You don’t need to buy a suit, and you don’t need to wear anything loud.

Just make sure you’re wearing clean clothes that match.

You don’t need to spend your whole paycheck on a new wardrobe, but consider investing a little money on some.

5. Get Moving

I don’t mean pack your stuff and get out.

I mean, put on those useless running shoes and put them to use.

You might not like this word, but it’s called exercise.

It’s not the easiest thing to do these days, but you need to find a way to get it done.

If you don’t have any kids, there’s really no excuse.

Get off your butt and do it.

Start slowly, of course, and then build up to where you are pounding the pavement like a champ, and you see that you are that much more of a confident man.

6. Eat Healthier

You are what you eat.

Sometimes that makes you think about things for a bit, and it kind of makes sense.

And all this is telling you is that you need to be a little healthier.

Not to say we want to look like a celery stick, but you don’t want to look like an oinker.

Remember, though, that eating better goes hand in hand with exercise.

Eating healthier foods is great and all, but you still need to do some exercise.

Again, you can work on this slowly.

You don’t need to stop anything completely.

At least not yet.

Cut certain things out and add others as you progress towards eating better.

After a few months, you will look and feel better and be a more confident man in the process.

7. Clean Your House

Part of being a more confident man involves decluttering your life.

This includes your house and everything in it and directly outside of it.

Your house is where you start your day and also where it ends.

How much more confident of a man do you think you’ll be if you start your day off from a garbage can?

Probably not so much, which is why you must clean your house.

The same thing goes with coming home.

Do you really want to come home to a filthy house?

Probably not.

At the same time, doesn’t it feel good to come home to a clean house?

There are nothing but benefits to cleaning your home, and that doesn’t even include the health benefits of a clean home.

8. Simplify Your Life

Almost everyone you know needs to declutter something in their life.

We all try to be conservative, and sometimes we can overdo it.

If you want to be a more confident man, you need to start the decluttering process.

Like a dirty house, mess and tons of junk will cloud your brain.

And do you think this will help you become confident in any part of life?

I’m guessing now.

Simplify things that need it.

Start with the junk you bought at a yard sale that you have no use for.

Then you can visit the rooms and see what you can give/throw away.

9. Make Your Smile Better

Not everyone has the confidence to smile and show their teeth.

I know I don’t, and my teeth aren’t that bad, either.

However, can you imagine how much of a more confident man you will be?

I mean, smiling so big, with teeth so white, would be amazing.

I would smile all the time, even if I weren’t happy.

Your smile is a big part of you, and it won’t work that great if your grill is jacked up.

Work on oral hygiene, and trust me, you will be a more confident man immediately.

10. Be Confident

If you want to be a confident man, you need to be confident.

It sounds like it doesn’t make sense, but it does.

Think about it.

If you are already lacking confidence, that means you aren’t confident.

Instead of being the one that sits there and doesn’t say much, be the one that does.

I know some people want attention more than others, but get some of it, and you will be a more confident man.

Confidence is not something you are born with, so see how your life is currently and make a few adjustments here and there.

Don’t worry.

The attention hog will soon find out that there’s a new confident sheriff in town.
