Do you think twice about spending lots of money on your next backpack?

Good for you.

It’s your money and it wasn’t easy to make in the first place.

There are several things you need to consider, especially if your wallet is hanging on for dear life, not to be pulled out of your pocket.

With the cost of life being out of this world, it only makes sense to put money in the right places at the right time.

If you are going to get Starbucks 5 days a week when you can’t afford to pay your rent, maybe you need to take a step back and try to understand what is really going on.

And if that’s the case, you have no business even thinking about buying premium backpacks.

Now, if you have some dough to spare, let’s see if this is the right investment for you.

Buying your next backpack requires some good thinking, so let’s see what to expect and the benefits of investing in a good backpack.

Benefits of Investing in a Good Backpack

As a person who works in coffee shops and hotel lobbies, I have every reason to carry a backpack.

And I do.

As much as I would love to save money and spend it on other junk, I know investing in a good backpack is necessary.

Whether that backpack is carrying my EDC, my travel gear, or getting stuffed with camping gear or junk, I will always invest in the best-quality gear.

Period.

For those who don’t think so, maybe investing in a high-quality backpack is not that big of a deal.

And that’s okay, too.

However, if you are having trouble deciding whether to purchase a backpack that costs more than a pair of AirPods, I have your back.

Literally.

I had my fair share of second and third thoughts about buying my first premium backpack, so I feel your pain.

It sucks.

I know, but I took the plunge and never looked back.

There’s much to learn about men’s gear and how much money you should throw down, so don’t spend it just yet.

Let’s discuss the not-so-simple topic of backpacks and why you might want to think twice before buying that cheap backpack you came across while scrolling Instagram.

Here are the benefits of investing in a good backpack and why I think you should fork out the money.

1. Quality Backpacks Last Longer

This is the obvious and should always be the case.

With materials like cordura fabric and YKK zippers, you know you’re getting a quality product.

I would not spend more than $100 if a backpack did not last longer than a year, and you shouldn’t either.

The backpacks I’ve gotten that were a little on the pricey side have done their job, except for a couple that were one-hit wonders.

The ones on the market with a whole business behind them last longer and have been tested throughout the years.

Commercial bags have pros and cons but will never compare to the quality backpacks you only find on sites like mancarry.

Period.

2. Lots of Savings

We all work to make a living, and I’m sure a backpack is not necessarily at the top of our list when it comes to spending or investing.

The problem is that not all backpacks are created equal, and not all of them will last.

If you take a little time to see where your money is going and what it’s worth, you will see that a couple hundred dollars is not that much.

When you purchase a cheap backpack, it usually falls apart within a year, and you will soon be looking for another.

Heck, you might be doing that right now.

Then you include the time it takes to find one, the energy, the gas, the shipping, and whatever else is put into getting that next pack.

It’s a lot of work and could potentially cost more over time.

Buy a premium backpack now, and you won’t have to worry.

3. Quality Backpacks Just Look Better

I’m not a fashionista, but I do love cool gear that looks great.

When it comes to backpacks, the cheap ones shine bright like a diamond.

When you get a premium backpack, it shines bright like a diamond, like Rhianna said.

“Where did you get that?”

“Wow, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

That’s the type of stuff you’ll hear when you get a premium backpack, so remember that when you buy anything else in the future.

4. They Make You Look and Feel Better

Besides looking stylish and giving that wow factor, premium backpacks ultimately make you feel better.

It’s like getting a new haircut or some new kicks.

I remember being embarrassed to carry my Bobby XL backpack around.

I would set it down in the corner so no one would see it.

The straps were so worn (even if I didn’t use it that much), and it was the most not-so-functional backpack I’ve ever owned.

That lasted a little while until I decided to get something I would be proud of.

So, if you want to get the confidence most men lack, invest in a good backpack, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

5. Health Benefits

If you’ve ever owned a cheap backpack, you’ll know how it feels.

Forget about being looking good or being comfortable.

They suck.

Now, imagine what it might be doing to your back and shoulders.

As an infantryman, I know how it feels to carry a lot of weight, all while being uncomfortable.

Nothing good comes out of it, and I learned the hard way.

This alone is a big reason to dodge cheap products and definitely one of the better benefits of investing in a good backpack

6. Make You More Functional

I’m a big fan of simplicity and functionality, but backpacks can be a little more complicated.

I like pockets, but they have to serve a purpose.

When it comes to premium backpacks, the workhorses behind them put a lot of thought into their creations.

They use backpacks like us, so they know what is needed to create a solid backpack.

You think you’ve seen it all until you get your hands on a premium backpack.

7. Confidence In Buying Decision

As Forest Gump said, “Life is like a box of chocolates. you never know what you’re gonna get.”

That’s true with life, and that is true with something so simple as a backpack.

When you buy a backpack because you like how it looks and has an even better price, you really don’t know what you’re getting.

Even after a few days of use, you start to see why the bag didn’t cost much.

It starts to hurt your shoulder, the pockets don’t fit your carry, and most importantly, it starts to fall apart.

When you buy a premium backpack, you can at least be confident that you’re getting something of good quality and functionality.

8. Lifetime Warranty

When you are about to spend a few hundred dollars on a backpack, I know it can sound and feel a little crazy.

You start thinking about how that could be used for a car payment and second-guess yourself.

Unless you don’t have the money to pay upfront, $300 is not chump change.

And although I love my gear, it does not mean I am in the business of throwing money away on some backpack.

Now, when you give me peace of mind with a lifetime warranty, you know you’re getting some good stuff.

If you want to get a premium backpack but can’t decide, remember that there is most likely a lifetime warranty that comes with your purchase.

9. Payment Plans

Let’s face it.

We all want premium backpacks, whether we want to admit it or not.

The problem isn’t so much that we don’t want it as that we can’t afford it.

Sometimes, though, affording high-ticket products isn’t always attainable, and that’s why there is this thing called a payment plan.

You get such a thing when you buy a house or a car, and you’re probably on one right now.

It’s a way to purchase something while paying for it over an extended period.

And guess what?

It can be done with something as simple as a backpack.

Yes, it still isn’t cheap, but dividing $400 into four months brings it down to just $100/month.

Chop that down into 6 months, and you’re at just over $65/month.

You’ll receive your premium backpack in a few days to a week, and you’ll pay it off in a few months.

I don’t know about you, but that sounds like winning to me.

That’s just one of the many benefits of investing in a good backpack, and it’s also something that wasn’t offered a few years ago.

10. Specialized Features

Premium backpacks don’t always have all the bells and whistles, but they are usually designed for a specific purpose.

They have all the right pockets, allowing you to be the most functional person you can be for whatever reason you need the backpack.

If you’re a photographer, traveling, or just looking for your next EDC, premium backpacks offer more than just a main compartment and a few pockets.

In other words, more is packed into a backpack than you would normally see with commercialized stuff.

Conclusion – Get a Premium Backpack

I understand that not everyone can afford a premium backpack, but that’s okay.

However, there are more than enough reasons to buy a premium backpack, so I think you should get one.

I mean, the lifetime warranty and a payment plan are enough for me to say yes, but that’s still up to you.

Just remember that I was once in your shoes, and the decision to buy my first premium backpack was well worth it.

So, if you’re still thinking about it, I hope this post has helped you understand that buying a premium backpack is still attainable for everyone.
